「SOPH.co.,ltd. × 泰八郎謹製 × TRAVERSE TOKYO」のスペシャルなアイウェアがリリース。
ゴールデンエイジからカウンターカルチャーにかけての古き良きアメリカを象徴する
クラシックなシェイプをもとにデザインされ、それを日本が世界に誇る職人、山本泰八郎氏の手により製作された。
レンズには、カメラ等光学機器のレンズメーカーとして世界的に有名な1846年創業の
カールツァイス社製レンズを採用し、通常使用されるレンズよりも圧倒的にクリアな視界を可能にした。
オリジナルコンセプトのもと1本1本手作業で形成される「泰八郎謹製」の伝統製法"ノ一芯"と、
世界最高水準の光学機器会社「カールツァイス社」の技術を盛り込み製作されたエクスクルーシブプロダクト。

【山本泰八郎】: 1942（昭和17年）年に福井県鯖江市で生まれ、中学を卒業後、眼鏡職人を志し、
セルロイド職人のもとに弟子入りしました。以来、50年以上、
「ノー芯」という伝統的な製法を継承する眼鏡職人の一人です。
セルロイドは3年以上寝かせ、よく乾燥させると変形せず、曲がりにも強くなります。
また、丹念に磨き込めばべっ甲のような光沢と艶が生まれます。泰八郎謹製の眼鏡フレームは、
そうしたセルロイドの特性を存分に発揮させるため、
テンプルに金属芯を使用しないノー芯製法を用いているのが特長です。
同氏はセルロイド生地からの型出しに始まり、最後の磨きにいたるまで、
すべての工程を自分の手の感覚を頼りに作り上げています。
何種類ものフェルトや布のバフを使い分けながら、1枚の眼鏡フレームが完成するまでに、
実に13回もの研磨を繰り返しています。
こうした匠の技から生み出される眼鏡フレームは、
深い輝きと滑らかな手触りを持つ世界でただ1本だけの眼鏡フレームとなるのです。

that where the respectful Japanese influencers showing their personal things and stuffs.
Co-owner of SOPH.co.,ltd., Hirofumi Kiyonaga is also joined on the project since November 1st.
and this time, TRAVERSE TOKYO and Kiyonaga will release a commemorate product
with a legendary celluloid craftsman Mr.Taihachiro Yamamoto.

REMARKS:: Frame - Celluloid Shape and classic, reminiscent of an old american counter culture around 1950's to 60's.
Taihachiro Yamamoto carefully produced each one of them by his amazing craftsman skills.
Lens - Carl Zeiss Carl Zeiss was a German maker of optical instruments commonly known for the company he founded,
Carl Zeiss Jena (now: Carl Zeiss AG). Zeiss made contributions to lens manufacturing

Taihachiro Yamamoto: Since early adolescence, Mr Taihachiro Yamamoto became a celluloid craftsman's pupil.
And since then, he has been producing handmade celluloid frames for 40 years.
Frame making in the experienced hands of Taihachiro Yamamoto are crafted completely different from mass-produced frames.
In order to from a temple without a metal core, he uses a manufacturing method and a special celluloid material,
which has been dried for more than 5 years.
The final product becomes a classic, genuine tortoiseshell frame by a specialized polishing technique.
From its inception until the final touches, only around 200 Taihachiro frames a month are completed.
